Bringing in a bag of groceries from his Jeep, Adam Collier opened the garage door to his house and moved inside. Setting the bag of good atop the counter at the back, he leaned back, cracking his neck as he did so. A couple of years before, an aunt of his had passed away and willed the property to him. There was a total of 37 acres in the Tennessee land, with a modest house highlighting it. Further out, along the lake there was a basic dock that led out approximately 20 meters into the water. On another area of the property, Adam had created his own shooting range. This led to the reason for his arriving visitor.
It had been nearly two weeks since the events in Colombia that left the Dulles team reeling and in search of answers where none were to be found. Homeworld Command along with the Colombian government was still analyzing debris from the helicopter to determine the size and origination of the explosives used. It had affected them all, but most of all their one civilian colleague, Farrah Byrne. Shaken up by the unexpected turn of events, the good Doctor clearly tried to hide much of its lasting effects from her colleagues. Despite seeing through it, they respected her privacy and played along.
Adam, however, hatched a two-fold plan to help her. She had voiced her concern at being able to contribute in a tactical situation, and rightfully so. While there was no expectation for her to be gung-ho about it, Collier felt that she would be more comfortable when they inevitably came under duress once more if she were trained, even if it took time. Rather than just signing her up with one of the instructors and facilities available to Homeworld personnel, Adam wanted to give her a locale in which she could feel comfortable, without the added pressure or expectation of her performance. The second part of his plan was to (once she hopefully was comfortable) take down some of her defenses and have her open up to him. Likely the best way for that to happen was for him to bring it up first and let her listen, hopefully followed by her reciprocating. Of course, this could all completely backfire on him and she might not even show. Her plane had landed almost an hour ago, and the thirty-minute drive to his house was right about at this point.
Unconsciously checking himself in the mirror at the side of the garage, he straighted his t-shirt as he heard the crunching of gravel in the road out front and turned that way in time to see a taxi pull into his driveway and up to the garage.
