Personal History:
Detroit was a place that Lincoln called home for most of his life. He was born and raised in the suburbs, more specifically, Grosse Pointe, just outside the city. His father, Grant, was a police officer for the city, while his mother, Melissa, was a school teacher. His early years weren't anything to boast about; he played peewee football and spent his afternoons with his grandmother while his parents worked. He was an only child but not by his parent's choice. After he was born his mother was told that she could never have children again, something that broke her heart, but instead of letting it get her down she focused on Lincoln and work. Once Lincoln entered high school his focus shifted from excelling in sports to excelling in school. One of his teachers was a former Marine and the stories he told made Lincoln eager to enlist. After speaking with his family about his choice they decided that a better path for the young man would be college and then the military, and despite him thinking differently, he went with it.
Lincoln applied at multiple schools across the country - each of the military colleges and even a few Ivy Leagues. He got acceptance letters from multiple places but he was holding out for one in particular: the United States Naval Academy. His heart was with the Marines, and despite wanting nothing more than to join fresh out of high school he was patient and waited. One day the acceptance letter arrived in the mail and Lincoln and his family were overjoyed. His senior year in high school was grueling due to Lincoln taking a few AP classes on top of the sports he played and the community service he participated in but once summer came and he had to pack up his things to leave, it was well worth the wait. His time spent at the Naval Academy was challenging but rewarding and upon his commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps he felt as if he was ready for anything.
Lincoln spent his first two years in the Marines as an Infantry Officer stationed with the 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division in Bosnia from 1996-1997 before being selected for Recon training. He passed through the training with flying colors, quickly earning himself a top spot in his graduating class. At that time the United States was just pulling out of Bosnia so he couldn't go back. He did receive another offer for MARSOC however, that position being with a top secret government program known as the Stargate Program.
Upon his promotion to First Lieutenant and his new appointment as a team member of SG-19, Lincoln settled down in a small home in Colorado Springs, just a few miles from the complex in which he now worked. He met Natasha during that time and the two began to date. Two years later they were married. The couple was happy for awhile, that is until Lincoln got a new position, this time at the Stargate Program's Alpha Site working Security Detail. He was gone for nearly two years and when he returned Licoln found out that his wife had moved on with her life and found someone else to be with. Divorce papers were filed and Lincoln focused more intently on his career than he had in the past. He put in a request to join the Atlantis Expedition and he left in 2004.
The next few years of his life were spent in the Pegasus Galaxy. Lincoln enjoyed the new life he had to live, and was promoted from a First Lieutenant to a Captain while serving in Atlantis. He was a member of a SG Recon Team. Now that Atlantis is based in the Milky Way Galaxy Lincoln is no longer needed and with his promotion to Major he also received a new appointment: his first Team Leader position.

He does, however, know how to let loose when the time calls for it. He enjoys having a drink at the end of a work day and when it comes to his friends he's fiercely loyal. He's a gentleman but can be shy at times, not often going out of his way to talk to women ever since his wife left him. He's focused and he's a good, strong leader who now has the oppertunity to shine.
