Biological Information
Name: Oliver Teodoro Drago
Gender: Male
Date of Birth (Age): February 8, 1989 (20)
Height: 6'0"
Hair: Rather deep shade of brown.
Eyes: Nearly black - but his drivers license says 'brown'. Well technically 'BRN'
Anything Else of Note: Oliver's facial hair has grown at an alarming rate since he was about fourteen. He often gets yelled at for not shaving, even if he had a handful of hours before. He also doesn't have any tattoos - due to a slight needle phobia (nothing serious). Also animals tend to love him, even if he's not exactly an 'animal' person. If there's a cat, dog, parrot, or rat - it will end up sitting on him. Oliver has come to expect this and simply accepts his fate.

Rank (Grade): Cadet Second Lieutenant
History
Personal History: Long ago in Italy, a man and a woman fell in love. Together, they attended college outside of their home country. At first in the UK to get their Bachelors of Science and Masters - and later moved to the United States to receive their Ph.D’s. The man - Ezio, received his degree in aerospace engineering, and the woman - Elena - in physics of the theoretical type. In their postgraduate time, they worked for NASA for a bit, before getting their full citizenship within the United States. As soon as they settled down a bit, the two now Italian-Americans began having children. Their first was Clinton, which was quickly followed by Lando, Bianca, and finally Oliver. After their fourth child within four years, the couple decided enough was enough.
Like many Italian families, Oliver’s childhood was one of warm family, delicious food, and a lot of hand gesturing. Since both parents were heavily involved in science, they educated their children in the basics from an early age. Oliver never really had much interest in science, unlike all his siblings. He normally covered his dislike of the topic by simply leaving the room or helping whoever was cooking at the time.
Clinton - the eldest - began his interest at Chemistry at an early age. With Lando his love was over medical science, and began his path as a doctor. Bianca enjoyed technology, taking things apart and putting things back together as the tiniest engineer on the block.
Oliver - as the youngest - struggled against his other siblings instant interest in something they loved. He liked building things with blocks, but wasn’t gifted at it. Science confused him. He didn’t have the stomach for medical stuff. He often spent his time with his older sister as she took things apart and learned all there was to learn about technology and computers. She was naturally much better at it than him, but at least he had a little interest in the topic. This is when his parents suggested he should try music. He found that piano the most interesting and began taking lessons.
It was in high school that he discovered that he was good at math. He wasn’t the best in class nor had a ton of interest in the topic - but he always seemed to understand formulas and how to get from point 'a' to point 'b' a bit quicker than the rest. He also continued messing around with computers with Bianca through this time. They founded a 'computer' club and spent their lunches building and messing with computers with other students with similar interests. Oliver was also still taking his piano lessons. With the discovery that he actually was good at math - his ability to keep time on piano suddenly made a bit more sense. Though at this point in his life, the lessons were more practicing new songs, then actually learning anything new.
As Oliver grew older, he realized he didn't really have any direction in life. Yes - he was good at math. But the only job he could really think of applying math to, was being a math teacher. He liked computers, but he didn't think he could do anything with them for a living. It wasn't until he was about seventeen that he realized a possible career option for himself. Oliver was sitting at home - homework already done. Ezio - his father - was sitting quietly in the living room with his son, idly drawing planes. For whatever reason, in that exact moment Oliver had an idea. Planes were something he was exposed to since he was a child - but the thought never crossed his mind. With his knowledge of math and computers...why not be a pilot?
After his father talked to him about planes for a good week straight, Oliver began researching possible paths for achieving his goal. The Air Force was an obvious path. He could even go straight into the training through their colleges. He even found a major that fit his skills. Or rather Bianca found the major and convinced Oliver it was perfect for him. As he began to prepare his application, his parents sat him down to talk to him about his possible career choice. Since Oliver was their youngest - they had concerns. He could easily end up in harms way or even doing questionable things over foreign countries. After Oliver convinced them that he knew what he was getting into, he continued to apply.
He got into the Air Force Academy. Oliver was honestly surprised. With his good grades and club participation, it wasn't surprising to anyone else. But he was still surprised.
The only uncomfortable part was that he already lived in Colorado Springs. Since his parents worked in the Stargate program, he had lived there for a good portion of his life. Now, however, he wanted to move on - but his college was quite literally down the street. The issue was quickly resolved when his father insisted that he lived in the on-campus housing - but only if he came to visit on weekends at least twice a month.
At first, the Academy was a bit overwhelming to Oliver - causing him to end up back at home nearly every-other day. After about a month, his parents had slight difficulty keeping track of their youngest son - since he was rather pulled into his studies. Once he got the swing of things, Oliver was glad he made the decision. His classes were taught by excellent teachers, and he actually - for the first time in his life - wasn't constantly bored in class.
He was quietly one of the best. Unlike the others who were doing well, he kept somewhat quiet about his grades and overall outcomes.
At the beginning of his third year at the Academy, Oliver was contacted about being accepted into a program he hadn't heard of. Something about 'Stargates'. Well being accepted into something new can never be bad. Right?

Skills: Oliver speaks fluent Italian, and is also able to speak English without an accent giving away his second language. He’s rather gifted at cooking, though he only really shares this knowledge with family. Oliver generally hides this skill from his friends, simply because “they never ask.” He is talented at mathematics as well as computer science. While he isn’t the best in the world at either, his true talent comes from being able to figure out rather complex situations quickly. In short, he’s the master of ‘winging it’ and ‘thinking on his feet.’ He's also been playing piano most of his life. Oliver also worked as a lifeguard through highschool - therefore has proper training in that field - including CRP/first aid/AED. When he was last certified, he simply went the easier route and got the 'adults only' version of the certification, since he was a bit crammed for time. He's also found that hand-to-hand combat comes somewhat easy to him. Predicting what comes next is quite literally his major, so he tends to have the upper hand.
Personality: Around strangers, or people he finds intimidating - Oliver is rather quiet. When he does speak, any discomfort he's feeling tends to be rather apparent - making him the life of the party. In actuality, it means he has difficulty making friends, because he tends to come off as cold or simply awkward. Those who do break through the shield of ice and and awkward, get a very different person. Around people he's comfortable with, Oliver is rather different. Still a bit more quiet then the average person - however he's quick to smile and quicker to actually be a rather nice person. Since few are close to him, he holds his friends rather close to heart.
Though he's a rather intelligent man, he has an inadequacy complex, due to the fact that that both his parents have Ph.D's and all his siblings are on their ways to similar paths. He simply doesn't feel as smart as them. Even though he's always gotten top scores in his classes and been a very dedicated student - he has never once identified himself as 'intelligent'. His friends tend to think he's just trying to be humble - but he quite genuinely doesn't think he is.
He's also acutely aware of the fact that he has an addictive personality. Not that people get addicted to his presence - but rather that he easily becomes obsessed with various things. Because of this, he avoids all forms of smoking and drinking - even if both were offered to him regularly in high school. He even avoided coffee for a long period of time - though the AFA made his attitude on the brown stuff change. Oliver knows he's addicted to coffee - but only allows himself one cup per day. He tries to throw this very negative personality trait into perfectionism. It forces him to try things over and over until he gets them right.
Along with being good with math, he's really good at numbers. Remembering them, to be specific. Due to a mixture of memorizing piano songs since he was four and his ease with math, he simply has no problem retaining a locker combination from freshman year of high school - or his best friend's phone number from first grade.
Even though he was never really allowed to play them as a child, Oliver enjoys video games. Strategy styled games like Civilization and Sins of a Solar Empire, he finds fascinating. Of course playing through the zombie apocalypse with friends is always fun too. Single player games with a one-person plot, however, bore him. There isn't much strategy involved - in his mind - when it's simply man versus computer artificial intelligence.
Ancient Gene: Yes - but he wouldn't know about that yet.
