History
Personal History: Born, raised, and bred on a farm just outside of Shreveport Louisiana, Samantha is a home town country girl. She learned at very young age how to manage a farm and all the animals to keep their family fed. She helped her father at countless rodeos and even rode in parades with her own Horse, Scarlett, a beautiful painted horse that was all her own.
She always felt out of place growing up and even during school. There was only one computer in their local library and Samantha visited it frequently often being hunted down by her father to come home for dinner. Computers were her obsession and promised one day to be one of the best computer operators/hackers in the world. After graduating with top honors in High School, it was a hard decision, but Samantha chose to go to a college. But, her parents were hard workers and they simply couldn't afford to give her enough money.
So, while in town one day, a recruiter from the United States Army was at the local library and noticed her uncanny ability to get into websites that were banned. They talked for a long while and he convinced her to join offering a nice college education. She signed up right away. Having been around guns, bow and arrows, and other weapons all her life hunting with her daddy, she knew how to handle herself. Working on a farm kept the young woman in shape too. She could flip the town bully Billy Simpson over her back and on his tush in a heartbeat.
After basic training, Samantha began her assignment at Fort Eustis, Virginia. Using the computer skills to help out the instructors virus problem, he recommended she take courses to enhance her skills. Sam took his advice. Under the instructor's supervision for six months, he saw the remarkable ability to program, debunk issues, and obtain information that could become very useful the the US government. After several letters to different senators and legislative leaders, Alaska House of Representatives Lisa Murkowski flew Samantha to Alaska for an interview.
Her bright personality and talented computer knowledge gave Samantha a sponsorship to join the United States Military Academy. Being only amongst a handful of government officials, Lisa knew about the Stargate Academy program. Without revealing too much information, Senator Murkowski encouraged Samantha to enroll into as many computer courses as she could handle. If she could prove herself, the possibility of becoming a part of a greater cause could be in the farm girl's future. Samantha didn't have to be told twice and after being placed into the academy, she began taking more courses. The classes seemed very long and boring to the young girl, passing each one with high grades. After only nine months of training, an unknown prospect approached Samantha finally giving her the opportunity that Murkowski spoke of. Although hesitant to leave so far away from home, Sam accepted the invitation where she currently continues her studies as a sophmore at the Startgate Academy.

Samantha is a good old country girl. She was known in the family as the country bumpkin' with her blue eyes always allowing her to get her way when around daddy. Her shyness was never an issue in school because everyone knew everyone from basically birth so her bright and pompous attitude flourished. That all ended though when she started basic training. She knew no one and the nervousness prevailed. Thumper began thumping on her behind and tumbling over steps becoming known as the Geeky Clutz during and after basics.
Her open wild behavior settled quickly into a more shy and reserved demeanor coming into the Stargate Program. Trying to keep her southern accent hidden is highly unlikely as is her country quips her with so many generations living around.
