It was the Modern Era. Robots were now a part of their civilization. They had taken out the Huns and the Greeks. Their alliance with the Russians was holding strong - but they also had a deal with the Celtics that was making the Egyptians and the Russians mad. It was all so fragile. But they had robots.
Oliver leaned back in his office chair - scratching his scruff as he idly glanced towards the window. Noticing that a strange light was sliding through the slightly askew blinds, Oliver glanced at his new roommate, before pushing himself out of his chair to investigate. Perhaps some lights came on outside that shined into their window? It was probably night at this point, since they had been playing for a few hours.
As Drago stood, he felt his legs whine in protest - nearly falling as the blood circulation resumed. Bracing himself on everything he passed slightly, the boy pulled the blinds apart to see what was causing the light. His dark eyes instantly squinted at the brightness, before a dropping feeling settled into the depths of his stomach. It was only sunset, right? Glancing down at his watch, he noticed the time. The analog watch informed him that it was 6:30. AM or PM? Standing idly at the window, he pulled his phone out of his pocket. The digital numbers burned into his eyes as the full realization washed over him.
It was sunrise. They had played all night.
What felt like a handful of hours ago, Oliver was alone in the room. Wanting to get his mind off of the upcoming semester, he sat at the provided desk and booted his computer - wanting to idly play some Civ V before unpacking. Only a short while later, the door opened - revealing the new guy. In only moment, he was at Oliver's side and they proceeded to play Civ together. Until sunrise. They had barely said hello before it had begun.
"Uh...so it's sunrise," he informed his nameless roommate. They had managed not to ask each other that yet, "Which is good. And normal," he laughed under his breath, "I'm Oliver by the way," he stretched slightly as he spoke, suddenly very aware of how many hours it had been since he had last moved.
His eyes slid to the pile of unpacked stuff that sat next to the desk - realizing he couldn't just pass out for a few hours before confronting the day. At least classes hadn't started yet, so he wouldn't be a complete wreck all day.
