Stargate Homeworld Open Role Playing (ORP)
What is open role playing?
To put it simply, role playing that takes place outside the missions and episodes. It's more for building inter-character relations and just having some fun, although even once in a while there might be some combat and action!
Why are we doing them in them here?
In a nutshell, to keep them separate from the episodes, so people don't get confused or have trouble finding their missions.
How do I join?
You can jump straight in to any of them. It might be a good idea to PM the person who created the RP first, just to make sure there's room for you.
How many can I join?
As many as you like, as long as you stay active in them and don't hold them up. Remember, in order to enjoy the fun of Open RPs, you need to remain active in your current episode missions, so only join if you find yourself with a bit of spare time on your hands.
How many can be in each ORP?
It's up to the creator of the roleplay - before you join, contact them to make sure there is still room.
What does the 'Timeline' in the template entail?
List where in the Homeworld Command timeline if applicable, such as 'Two Weeks Following Episode One: Calling Card' or a specific date
Any special rules?
Minimum length of posts is 100 words, half of what half of what is required in official episode posts. If in your ORP you decided to do a dialog conversation (two people back-and-forth posting), the only difference is to make sure you post 200 words instead of the normal 100. Aside from that, just stick to the rules of Stargate Homeworld, remain active in your episode missions, and you won't have a problem!
The ones that are done between two characters only could be started by either person, since it is only them, but the ones that involve a group of players should start with the one who registered the Open RP.
How do I create an Open RP?
Copy and paste the code below and post in a new thread in the registrations board. Administrators will either approve the ORP, or ask any questions they have about it.
What happens when we finish?
Let an Administrator or Moderator know and they'll close the topic and move it back into the normal RP boards.
