January 2009: The Wraith Super-Hive ship is destroyed when the Ancient city-ship of Atlantis makes a wormhole drive jump to Earth. Atlantis crash-lands in San Francisco Bay, able to be cloaked to avoid detection from the public (Stargate Atlantis Finale).
February 2009: For security concerns, Atlantis is moved to the dark side of the Earth's moon under minimal power. Only a short time later, a self-destruct is triggered onboard. Through a series of time-traveling events, Atlantis is saved and returned to the Pegasus galaxy (Stargate Extinction).
March 2009: Icarus Base is attacked, and the Ancient seed-ship Destiny is discovered (Stargate Universe Premiere).
April 2009: With the threat from the Lucian Alliance increasing, "Project 72" is started under extreme secrecy, headed by former aerospace genius Alec Colson.
July 2009 - September 2009: A set of elite field teams for Homeworld Command track down a sinister threat facing Earth (Stargate Homeworld Special Event). The Lucian Alliance makes a connection to Destiny and takes over the ship (Stargate Universe Season One Finale).
April 2010: Running low on supplies and life support, the Destiny crew is put into stasis for a trip between galaxies (Stargate Universe Series Finale).
October 2010: An Ancient shipbuilding facility is discovered in the Pegasus galaxy, including plans for the wormhole drive generator and other Ancient starship engine designs.
February 2011: Project 72 is destroyed in a sabotage operation by the Lucian Alliance. The data is able to be off-loaded prior to this, though it sets Earth back an unknown amount in time in development. A series of simultaneous attacks against Homeworld Command assets is carried out on Earth (Stargate Legacy Prologue).
October 2011: A breakthrough is made in reverse-engineering Ancient engine design, with the help of an advanced ally against the Lucian Alliance.
June 2012: The X-306 Project is officially cast, slated as the next generation in Earth starships: a super-carrier capable of sustaining a massive crew and long-term mission.
October 2012: Major design and technical changes are implemented to the current X-306 Program due to directives from the International Oversight Advisory (IOA).
February 2013: Construction begins on the X-306.
October 2013: Military and civilian specialists begin being vetted for potential assignment to the X-306.
March 2014: Civilian individuals and families are sought out for the ship-based colony to be housed aboard the X-306.
May 2014: With intelligence reporting an imminent all-out assault on Earth by the Lucian Alliance, the nearly-completed X-306 is rushed into service. Along with the Deep Space Carriers Daedalus, Iliad, and Sun Tzu, a preemptive strike is made against the Lucian Alliance. The battle is won by Earth's forces, but the Iliad is destroyed and Daedalus critically damaged. The remaining Lucian Alliance forces have no cohesion, and the organization fades from existence.
September 2014: With the crew and colonists chosen, the X-306 is re-designated as the USS Thor.
March 2015: The Thor is launched for the Ida Galaxy, to honor the legacy of the Asgard and the furthering of Earth's future in the galaxy.
