Service Record: Attended Marine JROTC in high school. Due to his time in JROTC, he was promoted to Airman First Class upon completion of basic training for the United States Air Force on July 16, 1986. While in BMT, he was singled out for training in Pararescue. Completing the grueling “Pipeline” training for Pararescue, he was assigned to a unit stateside. He participated in Operations Just Cause in Panama, and was recommended for the Silver Star, eventually being awarded it in the mid-1990s. Times were slow until Desert Storm, during which Harrison led several rescue and offensive missions. He stayed enlisted for eight years before deciding to become an officer.
Following the Gulf War, he completed his degree and pursued a commission as a fighter pilot. Eventually he was briefed on the F-302 program, and told of the Stargate Program. Completing training on the F-302, he was assigned to the Earth-based 1st Space Fighter Wing, aiding in the assault in Antarctica while assigned to Prometheus. Due to his unique qualifications, Harrison was transferred to the Delian Galaxy Expedition per direct orders of General Jack O’Neill as the Special Assignment Officer to General Kepler.
Following assignment assuming command of the ill-fated Russian-built BC-303B Icarus, Harrison was assigned to the Ida Task Force as Commander of the DSC-304 Battle Cruiser Aeneid. His return to the Milky Way saw him leading the exploratory team leading up to the highly-classified "Project 72" for nearly a year. Now a full-bird Colonel, Jonathon was given command of Earth’s flagship vessel, the Odyssey. During his tenure as Commanding Officer, he spearheaded countless advances against the Lucian Alliance. Command of the Odyssey was turned over to newly-promoted Colonel Ayden Sheppard when Harrison returned full-time as lead military officer on Project 72, under Alec Colson's direction.
When the armada was assembled to take down the Lucian Alliance, Harrison was at the helm of the X-306 for its victory. Later that year, he selected from the list of finalists for command of the expedition, and promoted to Brigadier General.

Pacing a little bit, Harrison was clearly perplexed. After a few moments, he turned back to the screen and replied, "Very well ... we surrender. Give me ten minutes to inform my crew and make preparations."

When the monitor switched off, crew member immediately began buzzing around him in shock at his response. Slowly but loud enough for those around to hear, he interrupted them in a somber voice, "WE HAVE five minutes to prepare the crew ... get everyone to their emergency beaming locations." They looked at him, puzzled, as he walked over to a console in the wall and keyed in a sequence, scanning his retina. As the panel slid open, Harrison spoke over the intercom after keying in a sequence, "Attention all personnel: standby for emergency beam-off. All aboard, report to your optimum beaming areas indicated by the orange arrows in the corridors now. Bring only yourselves ... you have four minutes. Security team to the command deck." Turning to Destiny, Jonathon said, "Get Nolen and Chief Hansford up here NOW. Beam them if you have to, but get them here yesterday."

With the three requested now present, Harrison ordered, "Clear the bridge!" Everyone but the three new arrivals, Harrison, and Andre left quickly. "In three minutes, the ship will be boarded. I've told them we're surrendering, but we can't afford to let this ship fall into enemy hands. I'm activating the self-destruct, and I need your authorization codes entered when I call for it."
