History
Personal History:
Lucas was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. His father is unknown to him and he was raised by a single mother, along with his younger brother, Noah. Growing up there was nothing extraordinary about Lucas - he was an average child of average intelligence. When he was old enough, he started to play sports. Football and hockey became his world quite quickly and he thought that he had found his calling in life. Of course, chances of becoming a football or hockey legend were slim to none, but that didn't stop the young man from putting every moment he could into the sports. When he hit high school, Lucas enrolled in the Army JROTC course at his mother's suggestion, thinking that it would look good on an application for any college he might want to attend in the future. It was there that Lucas fell in love with the country he had lived in for his entire life, as well as the military. He excelled quickly throughout his JROTC program and within his second year in the program/high school, he decided that he wanted to join the military. His focus shifted from football to his academics, pushing himself into harder classes so that he could become a better asset to the government. When he was seventeen, Lucas spoke to his mother and the two went down to the local recruiter's office. She signed the permission form and Lucas was sworn in not long after. Lucas opted to enlist as a reservist so that he could go to college, something his mother desperately pushed for.
Lucas graduated high school two months after swearing into the military and mere days after graduation he was sent off to BCT and AIT. Lucas has always been a good shot and during his training it showed. He quickly rose to the top of his class in fitness and in marksmanship training. He knew weeks into his training that the military was something he wanted to make a career out of, and once he was done with training and sent home, it was hard for him to adjust once again.
His college years dragged on, but luckily he graduated with a degree in Political Science. Upon his graduation he was also commissioned as an officer in the United States Army and his status changed from Reserves to Active Duty. He continued on with his training, going on to Ranger School. Ranger school was grueling and worse than anything Lucas had ever done before but he got through it, and graduated in the top 5% of his class. Soon after that he became part of the 75th Ranger Regiment and was deployed. He received his callsign "Saint" during his deployment, known for saying a prayer before going off on any mission or lining up a shot.
Lucas did receive a promotion soon after returning to the states, and then was approached to join a classified program, the Stargate Program. He nearly turned the job down, not wanting to leave his brothers in arms but he didn't have the will to resist for very long. Lucas is completely new to the Stargate Program and is only just learning the in's and out's. Part of him still finds it hard to believe that such a thing exists. He's ready to step into the unknown and start down a new path.

Personality:
Lucas has been known to be a smart-ass, but that has often been said of most Infantrymen. He's cocky, arrogant, and thinks that he knows it all, so sometimes getting through to him is more trouble than it's worth. If there was one thing he learned in his training, it was how to take correction, and even though he doesn't always appear to be listening to what you're saying, he is. He's a dedicated soldier and he's tough on the job. Outside of work he's a goofball who loves to have a good time, laugh, joke around, and just be a 'kid' again. He's not the most intelligent kid in the world, but the areas that he is experienced in, he knows them inside and out. He has quick reflexes and is always up to challenging someone to a fight, even if he knows he's likely to lose. Lucas is fiercely loyal to those he cares about and he'd willingly take a bullet for any of his friends, his mother, and his brother if it came down to it. He's been known to be rather religious when he's on the field, wanting to say his prayers before he goes into battle or takes a life and he wears a pendant of the St. Martin of Tours, the patron Saint of Soldiers; given to him on his mother the day he left for basic training.
