The couple didn't want to know what the baby was right a way, so let it be a surprise, but Spencer Andre was convinced it was a boy. The day that Destiny was born was the day that her father always said he would never forget, because it was the day of disappointment. One that he always reminded of Destiny in the future. The day that he saw she was not a boy was the day he stopped loving that precious little girl. It was also the long start of beautiful girl trying to win her father's love and admiration. Through the years, everything Destiny did was never enough. No matter what she did, it always came up as a disappointment. All that Destiny ever wanted was to get love from her father. She wanted approval and to feel loved, but never got it. From the beginning, the little girl did all she could to get approval. She knew her father wanted a boy to continue on the family line, that was why Destiny did all she could to be like a boy. Knowing about her family's history of coming for a long line of men serving in the armed forces, Destiny knew that would be her fate. Not because it had to be, but because there was no one else in the family to carry it on. Being born a girl, she knew this would be the only way to win approval from her father; or praying that it would be enough. In middle school, the young woman joined an Air Force Junior ROTC program and immediately excelled. Even if she wasn't a male, it was obvious that military was in her blood. She learned to quickly adapt to whatever was thrown in her path.
When Destiny was the age of sixteen, she got a piloting license, hoping that was show something to her father, but it still wasn't enough. In high school, the young woman learned about the long line of family being in the military. She learn her father was a retired major of the United States Air Force, who was also a fighter pilot. That was when teen made the decision to join the Air Force. Her goal? Get into Air Force Academy. Maybe, just maybe then her father would look down on her with some love and approval. In high school, the young woman was apart of every sport that she could get her hands on without causing scheduling to collide. She used being athletic to keep in shape for the military life that was to come after high school. Destiny did basketball, soccer, volleyball, even from track and field. Anything and everything that would keep her in shape, while also secretly hoping a certain father would see everything she was doing and be pleased. Along with being athletic, the teen manage to maintain straight As all through high school. While she would consider herself average in the smart department, it was obvious Destiny was anything but. She would just say it was all hard pushing, that it never came easy. The young woman was always humble about everything. Never really thinking she was good enough. During the senior year of high school, Destiny applied for the Air Force Academy. Though it came as a shock to the brunette, it wouldn't be to anyone else. The young woman was more than qualified to get in.
After graduation, Destiny gave her life to the Air Force; training to become a fighter pilot just like her father. Even though it was the hardest work the female had ever faced in her life, Destiny pushed herself through the grueling hours, only to have it pay off in the end. The young woman rose through the ranks, earning the right to each rank she was given. After serving to two tours, one to Iraq and the other to Afghanistan, the pilot was approached by a secret organization called the Stargate Program, that was looking for experienced pilots for their fighters called F-302s. After learning about fighters, Destiny was head over heels in love and knew that she needed to learn to fly one of those babies. A few years later, the captain learned about an expedition starting up called Delta. The young woman needed a change and wanted to see a new galaxy. After applying, the captain was accepted and has never regretted that day since.
After joining the Delta site for a year, the pilot joined up with Ida Task Force, becoming the Executive Officer of first the squadron, then the expedition itself. The female felt at home and a part of a family; a feeling she never really fully experienced growing up. It was like a home, til the crew got captured for five long months. Destiny, however, was brainwashed and served at the enemies side trying to destroy the very people she called family. While in the process of being rescued, the pilot went into a coma due to the connection that was built with the captures. When waking up, the female had no memories of the previous five months. As time went on, the memories came back ten-fold, leaving the female in a fragile state of mind. Dr. Collins requested that the captain be sent back to earth to undergo better psych treatment than what the valued doctor had to offer.
Since being transferred back, Destiny has remained working at Stargate command. Recently, the female was promoted to Major; a honor that is held dear. For her, it's proof the old Destiny is back after being 'down and out.' The female is now ready for the next big thing to happen; head of another team or being an XO again, off to another galaxy to be in a squadron again. Doesn't matter that it is, she's ready. The wings are ready to soar once more.
