Lucas shrugged at Gracie's question. Their last mission was supposed to be a peaceful one but it had turned into a firefighter. It was a difficult question to answer and it wasn't one that he knew the answers for. He may be an officer, but he was near the bottom of the totem pole. Granted he wasn't a "butterbar" any longer, but he wasn't much higher up. He didn't have much say in what happened so he simply went with it. He enjoyed learning from those that were above him though - they were some of the best of the best and he was honored to work with men such as Alavair.1950
"F-302s. I had to learn about 'em. Saw one in person. They're crazy. I can definitely see you flying one though." He grinned at the woman beside him as he gave her hand a squeeze. He knew that Gracie had been grounded but since she was chosen for this program the government obviously saw something in the flygirl and they wanted her to fly their giant freaking spaceships - something that Lucas still found to be absolutely amazing.
The rest of their trip went by pretty fast. The two spent it catching up on the past three months and Lucas spoke a little about where he lived. By the time they got to the pizzeria and ordered the food that they wanted it was already nearing 2000 hours. It was only a short five minute drive from the pizza place to Lucas' home and once they arrived at the apartment complex he grabbed their food, opened the passenger door for Gracie and then led her inside.

There wasn't anything special about Lucas' apartment. It was a simple one bedroom place with white walls, stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, and a rather large bedroom and master bathroom. There was a balcony off of the master bedroom and a fireplace in the living room - something that Lucas loved more than anything. As he unlocked the door to his apartment and pushed it open with his hip for her, Lucas smiled before glancing across the hall to Azalea's apartment. Luckily she didn't have her door open this time and wouldn't catch him bringing a girl home. That would've been so much fun to deal with - not.< Tag: Gracie "Fae" Bridges >
As he stepped inside the house behind Gracie he was greeted by a rather loud - and if he had any say in it, an annoyed - meow coming from his kitten. Lucas chuckled as he placed the food down on the table beside the door and he tossed his keys in the bowl before bending down to scratch the kitten behind her ears - or at least attempt to - as she rubbed up against him. "Hey there, Evvie." Lucas cooed affectionately at the little ball of fur and she butted her head up against his, causing Lucas to chuckle a little bit before pushing himself to his feet.
"Me casa es su casa. Make yourself at home, flygirl." He shot Gracie a smile as he kicked his loafers off and nudged them with his foot to move them over to the small shoe rack he had by the door. He then picked back up their food and carried it into the living room. He placed it down on the coffee table and looked up at Gracie once again. He shrugged his jacket off and tossed it onto the couch as he glanced around. There was still a mess of tarps and paintcans in the corner of his apartment and boxes scattered about but for the most part it was clean. He took in a breath and motioned around him. "Living room, obviously. The kitchen's right through there," he pointed and grabbed her hand before leading her down the hall. "Bedroom, there's a bathroom through there and a balcony, and the other bathroom we just passed." Lucas grinned. "Not much but it's comfy."
