Civilian Suburban
Calamar, Colombia
It seemed to only take a breath for things to go from almost relaxed to tense once more. Hoping she wouldn't have to pretend a rock was a dinosaur egg again, as Collier asked, "If FARC or any of the rebel groups had claimed this settlement for their own, would it have made sense to leave it unguarded? Doesn't seem like much of a scare tactic if there are no goons with which to do the scaring."
"Just because you can't see them, doesn't mean they aren't here," Farrah pointed out, playing with the strap of her seatbelt, as the Americans suddenly left them in the SUV. Undoing her own seatbelt, she leaned forward in her seat to watch their progress in investigating a vehicle that was of interest - as Alek was ordered to check some license plates.
Byrne quietly watched their progress as she heard the soft tapping of Alek's own progress on the laptop. She felt especially useless in the situation - considering she could simply ask the car how the situation made it feel. She was rather aware of the fact that she was the most likely to be shot in the entire group...or at least the least qualified for combat. The rest had some sort of rank and allegiance to some sort of armed services. Farrah had a nice degree and time spent comforting soldiers. That would hardly keep her safe in a fire fight.
Alek announced the origin of the license plate, causing Farrah to raise a brow.
"They just wanted to go have a picnic..." she muttered under her breath, as he leaned on the seat in front of her. There appeared to be a guy in the car with the license plate. Maybe this mission was already over.
Pushing back to fully sit in her seat once more, she glanced over as Alek asked if they were supposed to wait in the car.
"Aye," she nodded, "Or at least me. I think they nearly had a heart attack when I stepped out of the car last," she half shrugged, watching as Sheppard dragged over someone to the SUV.
"What the bloody hell--"
"Keep an eye on him. Shoot him in the leg if he tries to run."
Farrah glanced over at the man, "Hello. Welcome to the SUV."
