2000 Hours
NID Safehouse
Calamar, Columbia
36 Hours Prior to "Dulles" ArrivalThere was a time in his life where the young NID agent never thought he'd need to say his prayers, but after a day like the one that he had, he felt as if had been warranted. Their mission to Colombia was top secret, and only few had access to the files to see just what they were in Colombia for. The day had started out normally (or as normal as it could be) but things had quickly turned sour. The contact the young NID agent was supposed to meet never showed up, and now as he entered the Safehouse, he realized that his partner was nowhere to be found either. Could it be mere coincidence or could something more be going on?
Peter was a man of logic and was often rational but for some reason he couldn't shake the feeling in the pit of his stomach, telling him that something had went horribly wrong for his partner and their contact. As he looked down at his watch he realized that it was well past the time they had decided to meet up. As he opened the laptop that was sitting on the desk in front of him, the feeling in the pit of his stomach only grew. This was supposed to be a simple meet-up, there were only a handful of people who were aware of what was to take place, so nothing should have went wrong.
As Peter pulled up the GPS program on his laptop and his stomach turned. Nothing. There was no signal but his own showing up. Suddenly this "simple" mission had turned sour and this had to be remedied and fast. If the information his partner had got into the wrong hands it could be catastrophic. Quickly the agent pulled the satellite phone from his bag and his fingers danced over the keypad, typing in the number that he knew by heart. "This is Agent Northhouse. Identification Code Nine-Zero-One-Two-Six-Five-Three." He paused, waiting for the go ahead to continue. "Agent Doyle and contact have gone dark. Suspected foul play"

It was even worse when you were fighting jetlag and trying to adjust your body to the rigors of your new job. Ayden had spent most of her life in the military, so waking up early was nothing new for her, but it wasn’t always welcomed. Their mission was not in a different world, but instead in a different country; Colombia to be exact. The Lieutenant Colonel rolled her shoulders back as she tilted her head to the side, successfully cracking her neck before her bright blue eyes rested on her weapon. She rechecked it, making sure that it would fire properly if it came to it before she looked to her team. She had a good team – that much was certain and although it would take some time to adjust to her new team members, the woman knew that these were men and women that she could trust with her life.“All of you have been briefed on the situation we have at hand: a diplomat and a NID agent have gone failed to return to their contact location and the NID has requested our assistance in locating them. I shouldn’t need to remind you that we are operating behind the scenes in a country that is not our own, so we need to stay as far off the radar as possible.” Ayden glanced at the driver beside her before her gaze went back to her fellow team members. “We find the diplomat and the agent and then we get out of here, is that understood?” She then looked to Adam, the Tactical Specialist on their team. “Lieutenant, would you be as kind as to brief everyone on what we may be walking in to?”
