Atlantis Corridor
< Tag: Logan Blackwood, Alavair Leah, Azalea "De" Andre, Shannon "Angel" Meyers >When Lucas had signed up with the Stargate Program he had no idea that this was part of what he would experience. Seeing a 'whole new world' was at the very back of his mind as he walked with his team through the corridors of Atlantis. They were meant to meet at a conference room at 0815 and he was trying to find his way. It was beautiful, to say the least. He had found himself lost in the beautiful city, his blue eyes taking in everything he could in the short time that they had before their meeting. He didn't even care about going off-world at this point. Being in a "flying city" built by an Ancient race was more than enough to wet his whistle and keep him excited. He wasn't particularly thrilled about another learning session, but if the presenter could make it as interesting as the city was then he was sure it would keep his attention.Since their last mission the members of Hoover had gotten to know each other fairly well. The little get-together Logan had at his place helped the team to become more comfortable around one another, and the events of their last mission helped them to form a bond. While Lucas still wasn't entirely comfortable working next to an almost-headshrink, he was starting to mind it less and less. As he rested his hands behind his back he glanced over at the rest of his teammates. They seemed just as entranced by the city as he was glad that he wasn't alone. Lucas knew that Azalea, Shannon and Alavair had actually been through the gate before but as far as he knew no one else had.The young soldier cleared his throat as he looked above him once again as they neared the room they were supposed to be in. "And to think I useta believe that this shit only existed in Sci-Fi movies..." His voice trailed off as he chuckled softly and shook his head. He couldn't wrap his mind around the fact that this was actually real. It wasn't just a television show or a movie. This was real life. There were people from Earth that actually lived in this station in another galaxy at one point in time. Atlantis had been submerged before...he was one lucky guy, he knew that much. His team was great, Lucas thought to himself. Logan, despite the fact that he was a behavioral therapist, wasn't as bad as Lucas thought he would be. Azalea, while a bit out there was a damn good shot, Alavair already had his respect, and Lucas even feared him a little, and the new girl, Shannon, he had learned worked with Azalea in the past. They seemed like a fairly well-rounded team and he was excited to get another job under their belt together. He just hoped this one would go smoothly, unlike their last mission in Saudi Arabia.
